(Singapore, 10 January 2014) – Local running enthusiasts who have signed up to kick start the Year of the Horse at the inaugural MediaCorp Hong Bao Run 2014 (9 February 2014) could just find themselves running alongside the likes of Felicia Chin and Joshua Tan, after the stars of the upcoming telemovie “Hong Bao and Kisses” were announced as the latest celebrities to have signed up for the first running event organised after the Chinese New Year.
Chin and Tan will be ushering in the New Year by taking part in the race to promote their telemovie, which will be airing exclusively on MediaCorp’s Toggle on 31 January.
28-year-old Chin announced recently that she has put a halt to her studies and will be making a come back as a full-time artiste after a three-year-hiatus. Tan, the leading man of Jack Neo’s local hit movie, Ah Boys to Men, will be acting opposite Chin as a gym instructor who gets caught in a messy love triangle between Chin’s character and her mum, played by Amy Cheng.
Group of 4 category
In order to encourage more families to sign up as a unit, organisers have also rolled out a “Group of 4” registration package at a special price of just S$188, which represent savings of more than 30 percent.
Fancy Dress Contest
Participants are also encouraged to dress up in the spirit of Chinese New Year and take part in the fancy dress contest. Three lucky winners get to walk away with hong baos worth S$888 in cash if they impress the DJ judges from 987FM with their costumes.
