This January, Boston-based New Balance will introduce a breakthrough design for runners with the Fresh Foam 980. Designed with innovative technologies, the Fresh Foam 980 provides a revolutionary approach to neutral running by combining ultra-plush cushioning with a reduced drop from heel to forefoot and offering a super soft, bouncy ride that protects runners without sacrificing speed.
By combining the intelligence and experience of a human designer with cutting edge computer software, New Balance is able to manipulate the midsole on the Fresh Foam 980 to give runners plush cushioning properties and inherent stability in a more minimal package. Fresh Foam is a ground-breaking running shoe engineered to bring natural underfoot geometries alongside a cushioned ride with a blend of super soft foam that is incredibly responsive. For an excellent heel to toe transition, a blown rubber outsole offers durability and flexibility in a 4 mm natural drop last while providing both a light and stable ride.
The Fresh Foam 980 has a lightweight, breathable construction paired with a simple, plush upper to keep your feet comfortable and protected. A unique spray paint finish and fresh, eye-catching design provide a lower to the ground running shoe ideal for any workout or wardrobe.
Weighing 8.8oz for a men’s size 9 ½ and 7.3oz for a women’s size 7 this new style is grounded in bright colors and vivid accents, the Fresh Foam 980 offers runners
a naturally cushioned yet light neutral running shoe that can also walk a runway.
The Fresh Foam 980 will launch in Singapore at all New Balance Concept store in January 2014 with a suggested retail price of $169.00.
