What is the ‘REAL’ Run?

The REAL (Regular Exercise, Active Lifestyle) Run started in 1996 with the aim of promoting a healthy lifestyle amongst Home Team NSmen. Over the years, it has grown into an international event. Open to the public, the REAL Run attracted close to 10,000 running enthusiasts from more than 55 countries in 2008.

The route, traversing over road, sand, trail and urban terrain, was specially designed for this event and has proven to be an enjoyable and challenging one.

Route Map

The REAL Run Competitive Routes (15km route -10.4km Taxiway / Road, 0.6km Sand and 4km Trail; 10km route -5.4km Taxiway / Road, 0.6km Sand and 4km Trail) will take participants on an adrenaline rush through the landmarks of Changi Coast Road and experience the new trail paths.

Purpose of the run?

• To build up brand awareness of HomeTeamNS;
• To reinforce the healthy lifestyle message amongst Home Team NSmen and Singaporeans through a fun way;
• To promote cohesiveness among Home Team NSmen and families
• To bond with the community through sports.

Each division can only form a team of 10 runners, which the results will be tabulated based on the total timing of the top 8 runners.

**HomeTeamNS Corporate Race

Corporate organisation can form a team of (10) ten runners, which the results are tabulated based on the total timing of the top (8) eight runners. All (10) ten runners must be from the same organisation and submission of documentation proof is required upon registration.

Note:

• All participants except Home Team NSmen are only permitted to register for one category.
• Home Team NSmen who register under their Divisions’ PNS Office (Police) or Head Personnel (Civil Defence) automatically qualify for Men’s Open / Men’s Veteran but not vice-versa.
