Let’s face it- these day’s runs are a dime a dozen in Singapore. Anyone can just put together a few quirky or visually-fun elements and call it a run. But four years on, the Men’s Health Urbanathlon has built a well-deserved reputation for being a true barometer of exactly how fit you are, and whether you’ve got real-world strength to surmount challenges.
2013’s iteration also marked a milestone in the competition, when 300 female runners ran side by side their male counterparts, and proved their mettle by taking on every single one of the same obstacles with equal skill and panache.
This year, both sexes will find the Urbanathlon an even tougher challenge, especially when they consider the new challenges in their path. With brand new obstacles like Leap of Faith, Balance Sheet, Curve Analysis, Peaks & Troughs and Wire House, all Urbanathletes will need to dig deep into their physical and mental reserves to conquer these challenges.
On top of this, there’s no finishing the Urbanathlon without getting past our new Mystery Obstacle, which will test your five senses that no other race can. Marking the first time such a challenge has been introduced, participants will have to wait till the very day of the run to find out what awaits them!
Outstanding prizes await the top three runners for the individual category, and top three teams from the corporate category. Everyone who completes the race gets a finisher’s T-Shirt, medal and personalised certificate. Each Urbanathlete will receive a race pack worth over $250, including an adidas race tee and a complimentary six-month digital subscription to Men’s Health.
The race is open to male and female runners 18 years old and above. Hurry though- only a limited number of race slots are available!
