Review: Adidas ClimaCool Seduction 360 ventilation

Adidas had recently launch a new member to it’s Climacool  Running line, just in time for the London Olympics 2012 – The adidas Climacool Seduction.

The ClimaCool Seduction is set to further leap the brand’s lineup of lightweight running shoes with technology that will keep you cool no matter the condition and scenarios. The ClimaCool design helps reduce foot temperature and in-shoe moisture for maximum comfort during warm workouts.

The ClimaCool Seduction features a 360 degrees of Climacool ventilation plus rugged, lightweight cushioning and a clover-shaped CoolEver mesh upper, as well as a Coolever mesh perforations and light fabric construction lining for comfort with a perforated sockliner for added breathability.

The Climacool Seduction is a great blends of dramatic new design with tons of breathability to give you a carefree ride for every run especially in warm climate such as here in sunny Singapore.

It is said that 75% percent of the body’s energy is used to keep it from overheating; therefore the ClimaCool Seduction is designed to keep feet cool by providing as much ventilation as possible.

Climacool insoles

The Ventilation channels act as wind tunnels across the shoe’s outsole and midsole evaporating sweat and provide maximum ventilation from all sides. Along with the the minimal upper construction traces air circulation lines around the foot, resulting in organic shapes that look as if they have been created by the wind.

360 Ventilation Sole

Thus this will help increased the runner performance as their mind will be focused on the run rather than thinking about their feet.  It’s all built upon the adiWEAR non-marking rubber outsole, which is a high-density, extremely durable rubber compound in the outsole, adiWEAR® that offers better abrasion resistance during sports performed on hard surfaces. adiWEAR® also provides improved traction and durability. adiWEAR® is made of special rubber compounds that has an excellent abrasion resistance characteristics and durability than of the outsole, therefore prolonging the lifetime of the shoe.

  • 306g (size 10)
  • CLIMACOOL provides 360-degree cooling for the entire foot
  • Clover-shaped Coolever mesh upper for heat and sweat management and increased performance
  • Lightly-padded collar and tongue.
  • Coolever mesh lining for comfort; Perforated sockliner for breathability
  • Molded perforated molded- EVA midsole for lightweight cushioning.
  • Traditional lace-up front for secure fit.
  • adiWEAR outsole offers the ultimate in high-wear durability

The ClimaCool Seduction is just simply seductive with it’s bright bold colors that can be seen as far as half a kilometer away, The ClimaCool Seduction as expected was very well ventilated all around, providing the complete 360-degreess cooling of the foot as it manage heat and sweat away from the foot thus leaving your feet cool and dry.

I have to say that I was surprise on how comfortable running in them feel, the adiWear cushion is awesome and they feel nice and soft inside. However it feel shoe feels little narrow so it maybe uncomfortable for people with wider feet.

I normally do not wear socks with them but if you do decide to wear socks with them I would recommend some thin but yet soft as it will dry faster and leave the feet feel cool and refresh as you run.

Putting them on for the first time, it feel snug the shoe but I feel that the toe compartment is a little narrow and it may be uncomfortable for people with wider feet.

Overall I find that the ClimaCool Seduction is a well design and comfortable pair of shoe to be use for hill work and short distances run especially on a warm afternoon as it will leave you feet dry and fresh due to the 360 ventilation.

The ClimaCool Seduction is available at all Adidas Concept store from Mid April 2012. Get ahead, Don’t Sweat and add some seduction to your run.

Cheers! (:

  1. I bought these shoes 2 days ago. I wanted them too much and i finally bought them. My foot is not kept cool when i wear these.

    • Won’t recommend it for trail as it does not have very strong sole and it won’t provide the needed grip to run on such terrain.

  2. This is tempting!!! My lakay bear will check this one later at the mall… Definitely he’ll get one… soon I will… 🙂
