K-Swiss recently release their new solution to Trail Running with new K-Swiss Blade Max Trail Ion-Mask.

K-Swiss whom only of recent had enter into the running market have been making some excellent road running shoes such as the miSoul & California, and now to cater to the ever growing popularity of Trail runnning and adventure racing they release the K-Swiss Blade-Max Trail Ion Mask.

Material use in the shoe had been treated with ion-mask ™ by P2i nanotechnology and seam-free technology, helps maintain a drier, more comfortable environment making it water and mud resistance. Water will flow off the shoe and not into. Out of the box, i was surprised to see such an aggressive looking trail running shoe, let alone from K-Swiss. the design closely resembles the impressive Kwicky Blade Light. The color scheme use has a sort of rugged appearance of trail shoes. Its a minimal shoe that packs so much in terms of mileage.
The main highlight of the Max Trail is its unique sole. The foot bed is separated from the outsole by diagonal blade-like pieces known asthe “Blade-Max” technology.
A bed of Innovative SUPERFOAM™ material that resists compression and provides long-lasting, springy cushioning sits on top of high-impact Blade-Max technology. Rock Block Protection Plate offers protection against large rocks and from stone bruises in the rocky road.
Weighs at only 375.80g, which is about the average weight for a typical Trail running shoe, The K-Swiss Blade-Max Trail is fully loaded high mileage trail running shoe equip for a mileage overdose as you stop at nothing to conquer rouged terrain.
Running at Macritchie Reservoir for a good 15km on nature trail and another 5km on the road the shoe transition well in both terrain but I personally prefer to use it for it’s intended purpose which is to run the trail.

I personally like the pull on tab on the heel of the shoe as it ease taking off and putting on the shoe. Just like the K-Swiss California High-density AÖSTA II rubber compound for extended durability and the Ion Mask were among the best feature of the shoe along with the Flow Cool System for all-over breathability and moisture management keeping the your feet cool and dry as you move.
Give it a go, slice the trail in your next trail running adventure in the K-Swiss Blade-Max Trail.
The K-Swiss Blade-Max Trail is exclusively available at all Running Lab Concept store from Mid August.
Cheers! (:
