How much does the new programme in affect your preparation?
The new program has not affected my preparation by that much, I prefer to include trail running as part of my training routine. Trail running is a variant on running that differs markedly from road running and track running. Trail running generally takes place on hiking trails, most commonly single track trails such as in Macritchie, Bedok Reservoir, Pulau Ubin and Bukit Timah nature reserve.
Hill running build leg strength to reduce the possibility of injury, hill training should be conducted once the athlete has a good solid base of strength and endurance. This in turn will make one run faster on flats. To substitute this, I have substitute it
with stairs climbing.

Why is it important that you continue to train during Ramadan?

A marathon requires lots of training and preparation. It is always important to train regularly, a month of inactivity would certainly decrease one performance.  Running makes me happy and it is something that distress me, I feel relief from the  everyday work and life stress when I run. Running keeps me healthy and training keeps me fit. Its always good to train as it keeps you healthy you will at least look good for Hari Raya.
